di: Antonio "Difio" Di FinizioPoco dopo l’annuncio di Kinect, Don Mattrick di Microsoft dichiarò che sarebbero stati prodotti due diverse categorie di titoli per Kinect. la prima è quella che caratterizza i titoli di lancio del sensore, ovvero giochi in cui noi diventiamo controller a 360°; la seconda, invece, è una categoria che potremmo definire “ibrida”, ovvero che sfrutta il classico joypad affiancato dal Kinect. Al momento non abbiamo alcun gioco simile, tuttavia Microsoft ha dichiarato a Gameindustry.biz, attraverso lo sviluppatore di Kinect Alex Kipman, che alcuni dei titoli attualmente in sviluppo per la periferica di movimento saranno quelli che sfrutteranno entrambi tipi di interazione con il gioco.
Continueranno ad esistere giochi che utilizzeranno o l’uno o l’altro controller, ma a questi si affiancherà la nuova tipologia, in grado di poter creare nuove esperienze di gioco.
Non ci resta quindi che attenderli, per vedere se il connubio Kinect e giochi hardcore potrà mai essere realizzato.

What we haven?t really talked about, but exist, are hybrid games. Games that are using the controller, which we know and love, and pieces, if not all, of the Kinect experiences to again make those experiences more immersive, more fun and more emotionally connected.

It?s about how we take all of these things and fuse all of them together to create unique experiences. This is when I go speak and spend time with creative folk around the industry. I go back and I talk about palette. It doesn?t always mean using the same colours, the same paintbrushes ? the stories you tell are about using the appropriate combinations of all of the colours and brushes to create something meaningful.?
