di: Luca "topmoller" ZerbiniAnton Mikhailov è un ingegnere del software SCEA, tra i responsabili della creazione del PlayStation Move, il suo pensiero è che le specifiche dell’hardware della periferica consentono la possibilità di introdurre miglioramenti tramite un update del firmware. Il margine per agire non sarebbe altissimo ma è possibile che in futuro si assisterà a qualche aggiornamento.
We can certainly update it through firmware. The hardware specs we ended up with are good enough that we can get some more improvements out of them. The camera is still a good camera. I don?t know how many more software improvements we can make.
Al momento però non sembra esserci l’intenzione di fare nulla del genere. Non ci sono state molte richieste da parte degli sviluppatori quindi a parte qualche piccolo problema, non è ancora il momento per introdurre miglioramenti nell’accuratezza e precisione del Move.
The real question is, do we want to? So far we haven?t had any real requests from studios to improve the accuracy. There are a couple of issues here and there we can fix, but the majority the games are not even taxing it to its full accuracy.
