di: Antonio "Difio" Di FinizioMolti utenti, al momento dell’annuncio della PS3 Slim, sono rimasti sorpresi dall’annuncio di Sony di voler rimuovere la funzionalità OtherOS dalla PlayStation 3. Tale opzione, infatti, permetteva di installare sistemi operativi come Linux sulla console aumentando non poco la versatilità della stessa. Sony ha dichiarato che è stata presa questa decisione al fine di diminuire i costi per permettere alla console il prezzo attuale.

Unfortunately in this case the cost of OtherOS install did not fit with the wider objective to offer a lower cost PS3.
