di: Antonio "Difio" Di FinizioTorna alla riscossa il famoso analista di mercato Michael Pachter con una delle sue previsioni fatte durante il programma a lui dedicato all’interno della GameTrailers TV. Questa volta l’amato/odiato analista è tornato su argomenti “caldi” della scena videoludica, come l’esclusività di Mass Effect o di Splinter Cell.
A suo parere, Mass Effect 3 arriverà sicuramente su PlayStation 3, come anche, probabilmente, Mass Effect 2 e tutti i prossimi capitoli della brand. Caso a parte è Mass Effect 1 che resterà esclusiva Xbox 360 e PC, a causa del fatto che i diritti di pubblicazione di quel capitolo sono ancora in mano di Microsoft.
La stessa opinione ce l’ha anche per Splinter Cell. Infatti crede che l’esclusività non si estenderà per un periodo più lungo di 6 mesi. Ancora non è chiaro se la previsione si estenda solo ai prossimi capitoli della serie Splinter Cell o includa anche l’appena uscito Splinter Cell: Conviction.
Detto questo non ci resta che aspettare e vedere se tali previsioni rispecchieranno la realtà oppure no.
Mass Effect, the first one, was made by BioWare when they were part of Elevation Partners. I?m not sure that they actual retained the right to ever bring it out on the PS3. I have heard from Microsoft and I?ve actually heard from EA that we probably won?t see Mass Effect 1 ever on the PS3; I?m not sure that?s true of Mass Effect 2, and I?m certain it?s not true of Mass Effect 3, 4, 5 and 6.
So, I think you?ll see a Mass Effect game, an extension of the franchise, on the PS3. Number 1? They might have given away those rights in perpetuity. so that?s all negotiable when a publisher?s involved. When it?s an independent developer, you never really know. Alan Wake, for example, I think is a perpetual Xbox 360 exclusive. I don?t think that will ever be on the PS3.

As far as Splinter Cell [goes], Ubisoft gets it
Probably a minimum six months, perhaps a year exclusivity on 360, but you will see those games on PS3 as well
Ubisoft is very good at negotiating rights to bring the game out later on a different platform
