Replay from Gran Turismo 5 CES 2010 demo, of the TVR Tuscan Speed 6 Tuned Car racing by Artificial Intelligence on the famous Nordschleife.
Some details : you may had noticed Gran Turismo, Polyphony Digital and Union Jack flag on the car’s body (hint of livery editor ?). Tuning look subtle but seems to be quite advanced : bigger wheel with Goodyear Eagle semi-slick tires, bigger brakes. Carbon fiber, front bumper, skirts, wing-mirrors and wing. Exhaust is redone, it’s not at the back anymore but on the left side. Lighter Recaro seats.
Note that AI cars had no incar views at all during replays. Incar view was only available for player’s car and there were only two camera angles.
Video recorded from 1080i Bravia screen, in 1280x720p@60fps with a Panasonic TZ7.
No custom soundtrack in this demo. Background noise recorded by the camera was quite annoying, so I switched to an other track using Youtube’s audioswap function. You still can turn off sound.
This demo isn’t related to “GT5 Demo Collection”. It doesn’t differ from 2010 Las Vegas CES demo. I have no clue on what “GT5 Demo Collection” actually is.
Graphics dont seems to have improved since Cologne and there are still minor bugs. I think we can expect some improvements for final release.
Cockpit replay of Nissan GT-R SpecV (R35) using a Driving force GT, pro physics and no aids (I think ABS is set on 1). Track is Nürburgring. There were only 8 cars on track but i’m positive there’ll be more on final release.
Transmission : Manual
Active Steering : Off
Driving Physics : Professional
Active Stability Management (ASM) : Off
Traction control (TCS) : 0
Driviong line : Off
Front Tires : S2 (set by default)
Rear Tires : S2 (set by default)
Feelings seemed to be somewhere between GT5 Prologue and GT5 Time Trial Demo.
Note : that car wasn’t very hard to drive itself, but it felt heavy and was sometimes very tricky, so in the end turned to be hard to drive at high speed on the Nordschleife. This was my third attempt but it still isn’t perfect. At the first one, I bumped two other cars, at the second attempt, I hit a wall… By the way, grass was much more forgiving than in Time Trial demo ; I would say as forgiving as the one in GT5 Prologue. But hey! at 01:14 my driving skills (and maybe some luck…) helped me to get my head out of that situation.

Note : I didn’t tried too long but I found the Supercar Class to be one of the most demanding in this demo.
