Tramite le parole di Fumito Ueda, capoccia dietro al quel fumoso gioco che porta il nome di The Last Guardian, veniamo a sapere che, fortunatamente, il gioco non è stato cancellato ed è ancora in sviluppo ma, e qui arrivano i dolori, il gioco non è considerato una priorità per SCE Japan Studio, che sta attualmente lavorando anche a Puppeteer e a Knack.

“It’s under earnest development, however, SCE Japan Studio, who’s working on The Last Guardian, also has titles like Puppeteer and Knack, and those are only the ones currently announced. Those are taking priority right now.”
