A pochi giorni dalla release ufficiale il numero uno della software house ha tenuto a precisare che non ci saranno sequel su Heavy Rain. Di seguito le parole di Cage:
“Non voglio fare un sequel sinceramente! Perchè tutto quello che volevo dire ed esternare con questa storia e questi personaggi l’ho fatto! Onestamente non ho nient’altro da dire.”
