Da giugno sono state vendute 2 milioni di console, cifra che secondo Gosen colloca la macchina di Redmond in una posizione di vantaggio rispetto alla console Sony, la PS3. La quota totale delle Xbox 360 è così fissata a 7 milioni, in attesa delle vendite natalizie.
