Philippe Morin, co-fondatore di Red Barrels Games, ha confermato che Outlast 2 non supporterà Playstation VR su PS4. Morin ha spiegato che introdurre il supporto alla realtà virtuale richiederebbe un enorme carico di lavoro e di riscrivere il motore. Operazioni che un team di sviluppo indipendente composto da sole venti persone non si può permettere.
