A questa dichiarazione se ne aggiunge un’altra, difatti lo stesso Hickey prevede che Sony possa abbassare il prezzo della PS3 di ben 100 $ durante i primi mesi dell’anno.
Analyst Mike Hickey of Pacific-Crest Securities said Thursday that Sony?s 2009 exclusive software lineup offers nothing ?compelling? enough to sway consumers to pick up the system.
?We do not believe Sony?s ?09 software lineup offers any compelling exclusivity, enough that is, to sway consumer purchasing behavior toward their console or increase velocity at retail,? Hickey told EndSights in an e-mail interview.
Hickey believes that at this point, the barrier for consumers is price, and believes that Sony will cut The Price $100 in the first part of 2009.
